To keep our patients and team members safe, we’re limiting the number of visitors at our hospitals and requiring visitors to wear masks. See our visitor policy.
A visit to the hospital can be a stressful time, and those who have never been to the hospital before may also find the experience confusing. While you are with us at Advocate Sherman Hospital, we will strive to keep you informed and involved in your care. The priority of the staff at Advocate Sherman Hospital is to provide quality care to all our patients and to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
At Advocate Sherman, your satisfaction is important to us. Our goal is to both meet and exceed your expectations of us. Your nurse will be able to provide you with most of what you may need during your stay, but please let us know if there is something that we can do to help make your stay more comfortable.
We know that the more you know, the better you will feel. We consider you a partner in your hospital care. When you are well informed, and communicate openly with your physician and other health professionals, you can help make your care as effective as possible. We have prepared this guide to help you understand how our hospital works. A copy of the Advocate Sherman Hospital Patient Guide is also available in each patient room should you have further questions after you are admitted.
Advocate's mission is to provide quality and compassionate health care to our patients and their families. We understand that hospital bills and insurance claims can be confusing. We want to help you understand what Advocate will do to assist you, how you can assist us and your health plan, and how we can help you with your application for qualifying for government or charity assistance programs.
